This workshop invites you to challenge your habits, movement patterns, and creative defaults. Through prompts, games, and guided improv, you’ll deconstruct the familiar and find new possibilities in your movement.
We’ll work in a creative, collaborative container—playing in pairs or small groups—to shift direction, emotion, or structure in ways that unlock fresh discoveries. Come ready to get curious, shake things up, and…flip the script.
This workshop will include creative exploration across multiple apparatuses. A google form will be sent out for apparatus requests
Prereqs: This is a beginner-plus level lab, open to aerialists at any stage—as long as you have a solid foundation to work from on at least one apparatus
Cressie Mae is a Boulder local performance artist and coach. Since the pandemic she has realized her love for coaching private lessons and teaching circus arts to children. Her current passion project is working as the Youth Program Executive Director for the Boulder Circus Center. While she works out of many local studios, Cressie Mae calls the BCC her home away from home. When she isn’t in the studios coaching or creating, you can find her in the air and on stages with The Fractal Society, The Junkyard Socialites, Luxe Entertainment and other local collaborations.
