In this workshop, we will take a detailed look at some core elements of traditional straps strength & conditioning training - skin-the-cat, meathook, and back flag (a.k.a. "reverse meathook" or "armbreaker") - and explore adapting these skills and drills to other aerial apparatuses.

Jay discovered aerial straps in his late 20s after a brief stint in gymnastics. In the 7 years since, he has been performing and teaching straps at studios across Northern Colorado, including Denver Circus Collective, Frequent Flyers, and Boulder Circus Center. You can find him at just about every BCC open gym, where he would be happy to teach you a trick or two.
