Foolish Transitions & Inefficient Pathways - Leah Grandstaff

$59.00

SILKS - Intermediate to Advanced
Saturday 12p-130p (AC)

Aerial movement is all about elegance, control, and efficiency—moving with grace and purpose. We often link our favorite skills together logically, so that our transitions are most seamless. But what if the beauty lies in the detour? In this workshop, we’ll chase the scenic route: weaving together skills through curiosity, resistance, and a touch of folly. This is an invitation to wander, to get lost mid-air, to let “mistakes” become maps. Because sometimes, the foolish path reveals what efficiency never could.
Prerequisites: Students who have an abundant repertoire of silks skills & a solid grasp of vertical theory will get the most out of this workshop.

Leah Grandstaff is an aerialist, performer, and teacher who has been exploring the air since 2013. She specializes in fabric and duo trapeze, while her curiosity keeps her venturing into all aerial realms. Leah’s teaching style blends technical clarity with creative exploration — encouraging students to uncover their own pathways, honor their strengths, and enjoy the process. Alongside teaching classes and private lessons, she also co-develops teacher trainings, supporting the next generation of aerial coaches. Off the mat and away from the rig, she’s usually found perched like a gargoyle, investigating nature, or gazing at the sky. Based out of Denver, Colorado, Leah relishes opportunities to share her passion for aerial movement all over the world!
