Handstands on Aerial Silks (intermediate: must be able to climb and invert in the air) This workshop will teach you strategies to perform handstand shapes on silks. No need for prior handstand training. Students will learn a variety of wraps to subtly support a handstand shape. We will also cover several options for dynamic entries/exits to flow into and out of the handstand poses.
Erin has been training and performing aerial circus for 8 years specializing in aerial silks, straps, sling, and rope. She currently teaches intermediate and advanced silks at Gravity Aerial Arts and recently completed the doctor of physical therapy program at the University of Colorado Anschutz. She is excited to combine her passion for circus and rehabilitation science by teaching her students injury prevention strategies during classes and workshops.
