ACT CREATION, MIXED APPARATUS - ALL LEVELS
SUNDAY 230-4 UP
Only 3 spots left as of 3/10

Do you have an idea that you’re just not sure what to do with? Wish your aerial work better reflected your vision? Do you even know where to start?! Vulnerability, in its purest form, is the essence of creative expression. In this workshop, we will dissect and utilize several movement theories and improvisation to conceive authentic movement quality, and begin the journey to form a unique work that speaks from the soul. We will discuss outside artistic sources, and share invaluable resources to always look back on the next time “writer’s block” inevitably fights its way in. Let’s get artsy! (attendees must choose an apparatus to work on prior to the workshop: silks, sling, or hoop.)

Danni has been in the performing arts world her entire life. She grew up as a dancer and ground acrobat, teaching all styles of dance and performing around the world. As a dance teacher, she holds certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique, Acrobatic Arts, and the Dance Teacher Training Association. After having two babies of her own, she moved her work into the air. While living in NC, she began developing/offering a workshop-style series specifically for bridging the gap between ground and air work. After moving to CO in 2016, she received her teacher training certification with the Dragonfly Aerial Company, where she is currently teaching all levels of aerial fabric, mixed/invented apparatus, floor acro and Floor to Air while also contributing to the Dragonfly curriculum for their national licensing program.

OBSERVERS: Allowed for $10 fee
PHOTO & VIDEO POLICY: I highly encourage participants videoing themselves during this process so that they can always go back to what they created. They can also video me if we’re in discussion, I just request that the actual instruction (prompts during improv, etc) are not posted to social media.
